accesSOS is a nonprofit tech organization making emergency help accessible to everyone—especially the 37 million people in the US who are Deaf or hard of hearing, don’t speak English, or can’t safely make a voice call during a crisis. The free, 24/7 app lets users contact emergency services using text and icons, sharing critical details and location information without speaking. Over 58,500 people have used accesSOS, with more than 120 lifesaving emergencies supported. Through our technology and nationwide advocacy, we’re working to ensure that accessible, inclusive emergency systems—like text-to-911—are available to all.
