birthFUND exists to make high-quality, midwifery-led care accessible to more families by removing the financial barriers that keep too many from safe, affirming births. Launched in 2024, birthFUND has already raised $3 million, funded nearly 100 births, and built a growing movement rooted in community and advocacy. In partnership with midwives across the country, birthFUND funds births directly, invests in BIPOC-led birth centers, and is now expanding into midwifery scholarships and corporate benefit models to scale access for the future. With champions like Serena Williams, Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, Kelly Rowland, Karlie Kloss, and Ashley Graham, as well as institutional funders like the Gates Foundation and Pivotal, birthFUND is reimagining what’s possible in maternal health—one family, one birth, at a time.
