Develop for Good is a tech nonprofit startup that supports college students as they build software for nonprofits under industry mentorship. It pairs nonprofits with teams of talented, diverse student volunteers, with 84% underserved or underrepresented in tech—ensuring those most often excluded gain the hands-on experience needed in the AI era. Over the course of 293,000+ volunteer hours, Develop for Good has supported 4,600+ college students and industry mentors across over 320 software projects for nonprofits including UNICEF, World Health Organization, and Smithsonian Institution. Spun out of Stanford University, Develop for Good has surpassed $2.4M in revenue with the support of several Silicon Valley tech companies and has been featured in Forbes, TechCrunch, and TEDxStanford. Ultimately, Develop for Good aims to give every college student access to the real-world, high-impact tech experience the age of AI demands.
