THRIVEfunds’s anti-poverty direct-giving model connects charitable investors with families working to achieve economic mobility. Almost 34 million US working families are one flat tire or two unpaid sick days away from financial catastrophe because they lack savings and earn low incomes. THRIVEfunds has developed crucial partnerships in Indiana, Massachusetts, and California with trusted neighborhood service organizations to identify hard-working families who could need a hand up. Member families working with local partners create plans to increase earnings, save and ultimately achieve financial stability. THRIVEfunds empowers these families to customize requests for specific economic mobility resources like laptops, cell phones, gas cards, work uniforms, work licenses, and even childcare. The organization is actively building national partnerships to invest in 500,000 families by 2033.
