Joe Nail is a the CEO & Co-Founder of Lead For America (LFA). LFA is a national service organization building the next generation of leaders for our country and communities across all 50 states. Through the Hometown Fellowship, Fellows serve in a paid, full-time capacity alongside a local leader in their hometown or home state for one year, before advancing into positions of community, state, and national leadership for decades to come. Lead For America has created over 250 full-time Fellowships in 150+ communities nationwide and grown from $188k in revenues in 2018 to over $8.5 Million in 2022. LFA has been profiled nationally by outlets including the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, CBS This Morning, and NPR, and was awarded Fellowships from Summit, Praxis, and National Geographic. In 2020, Joe was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Joe graduated Phi Beta Kappa with highest distinction from UNC-Chapel Hill as a Morehead-Cain, National Merit, and Coca Cola Scholar, and graduated from the Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders at Stanford's Business School. Joe is an avid outdoorsman, Ironman triathlete, and ultramarathoner, and tries to spend as much time in the mountains as he can. Joe's team and LFA are based in Kansas, where he was born and raised.
