AsOne Ministries is a rural community development organization in Uganda dedicated to creating spiritual, social, and economic change through a financially sustainable model. In Uganda, 75% of the population lives in rural communities which means earning as little as $0.75/day for a household of five with multidimensional deprivations such as poor health, high food insecurity, inadequate living standards, and lack of access to education and basic infrastructure. Due to experiencing deep disadvantages and complex development challenges, these communities are less likely to receive outside investment.
In these communities, AsOne utilizes donations as capital to develop a school, health center, farm, and small businesses in rural communities and then operates them with local leadership through Uganda generated revenue. This creates an opportunity for long-term scale and replication in the country's hardest-to-serve areas.
