Since 2015, Justice Rising has been building, equipping, and operating schools in the conflict-affected province of North Kivu in Eastern Congo. We currently operate 23 schools in the region, and continue to provide education for more than 4,000 children whole safety and education is frequently threatened by the violence of a decades-long conflict. Despite these challenges, our students continue to academically outperform national averages and teachers from across the region want to work for Justice Rising schools.
Justice Rising has also developed the award-winning structured pedagogy tool, The Chalkboard Guides, as well as a quality schooling framework to support overwhelmed school leaders in protracted conflict settings. We've currently piloted the Chalkboard Guides in 40 government schools in Cameroon. As we scale these efforts globally, we plan to impact more than 60,000 students by the end of 2026.
